Privacy policy

Vardek collects no personal data. It has no servers, no accounts, and no telemetry. Everything it does happens on your own Mac.
What Vardek collects
Nothing. Vardek does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. We have no way to identify you and no database that could hold your data.
Where your data lives
Your settings — which widgets are on, where they sit, and their options — are stored locally on your Mac. The background service binds to 127.0.0.1 (loopback) and is never reachable from the network. Nothing leaves your machine except the specific requests described below.
Network activity
Vardek itself makes no outbound connections. A data widget you enable — weather, for example — may call the third-party API it is built for. That request goes directly from your Mac to that service; it does not pass through any Vardek server, because none exists. Each service you choose to use has its own privacy policy. API keys you provide are stored in the macOS Keychain and are never sent to us.
No analytics or tracking
Vardek contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It does not phone home.
This website
vardek.app is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no trackers or third-party scripts. As with any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server access logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and operations; Vardek does not use or process that information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since Vardek collects nothing, any change would only ever clarify that fact.
